Urushi lacquerware is a manufacturing method that has been handed down in East Asia since ancient times. It is made by repeatedly applying a paint with lacquer as the main component, resulting in a hard and highly glossy film, and has been used for luxury goods.
This is a tie tack (pin brooch) with a beautiful golden color, generously using vermilion lacquer and gold powder.
