It is one of the "yusoku" patterns, used since the Heian period, and resembles a turtle's shell, a symbol of longevity.
Originally, it was born as a geometric pattern in West Asia, and was associated with turtles when it passed through China.
The desire to pray for the long life of loved ones, as expressed in the "Kimigayo" waka poem, seems to have been held by the Japanese for over a thousand years.

Care instructions: Due to the nature of silk, continuous use may cause fuzzing on the surface due to friction. In such cases, you can remove the fuzz by lightly and quickly singeing it with a flame, such as a lighter.
If you let a tie rest for 2-3 days after one day of use, it will last longer without getting worn out.
Due to its delicate weave, washing it at home will cause wrinkles. If it gets dirty, please take it to a dry cleaner.
